Michelle starred in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, and in 2008 was ranked by the film critic site Rotten Tomatoes as the greatest action heroine of all time. Michelle too was listed by US People magazine as one of the ’50 Most Beautiful People in the World’ in 1997.

Bali is known for roles in The Shining Arc, Star Wars III, Wild Wild West, She Hates Me and Sky Captain World Of Tomorrow. She is also the first Asian actress to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine. The star made International headlines in 1998 when she shaved off all of her spectacularly long shiny black tresses in order to win the part of Tuptim in 1999’s critically acclaimed Anna And The King. She told the media at the time “it was worth losing her waist length luscious locks in order to win the part in such a prestigious film with the great actress Jodie Foster.” Bai, who is however famous for her many diverse hairstyles over the years, reportedly only washes her hair every other day or so and almost always lets is ‘air dry’. She also believes shiny hair looks ‘hip, young and fashionable’.
